“People who love to eat are always the best people.” — Julia Child
Traveling, resting, going on an adventure. Swimming, hiking, skiing or just going for a bike ride. All wonderful activities to embark on your vacations. But then Sunday comes, and vacations are almost over, you are feeling hungry, wishing to find a beautiful place to dine with your friends. Suddenly, a nice little restaurant appears on the side of the road, what a precious site to be seen.
Citrus, that was our last stop before leaving the South Pacific region of Costa Rica. A delicious restaurant in the city of Ojochal. The lighting was flawless; the decoration added the perfect balance to the scene while a romantic mood gazed over our table. Then the waitress approached us and handed us a menu that was worth framing and putting on a wall.
This intriguing menu offered sophisticated world cuisine, ranging from chocolate filet mignon to sea bass in a white-wine and saffron sauce. You could also choose from options like grilled tamarindo tuna, carbonara linguini, moroccan-style hamburger, hindu spicy chicken, pate de foie, salmon tartare, etc. And if you accompany this with a good wine, dinner becomes an experience you will remember for years to come.
“Food is symbolic of love when words are inadequate.” —A lan D.Wolfelt
Then time for dessert comes along, and you encounter some of the best in the country. If you like chocolate, don’t pass on the belgian chocolate mousse with brandy. There is also a divine creme brulee with orange blossoms and infused basil, plus an amazing cheesecake with passion fruit coulis. Whatever you choose, you can be sure you will love it.
There is no better way to conclude a wonderful vacation, than by having a pleasant dinner with friends. So if you are ever in the area, don’t miss on the opportunity to visit this exceptional restaurant.
