Is the Farmer’s Market a Thing of The Past?

In our day of overly processed, bleached and packaged foods, the old School Farmer’s Market was nearly a thing of the past. In our quest for better health we humans finally started to pay attention to the fact that our bodies can only use the fuel we give it. There has finally been a long awaited good -food revolution and people everywhere are seeing the benefits of making serious changes to their regular food routine.

The Farmer’s Market lives again! There is nothing like arriving on an early Saturday morning seeing each of the vendors stalls teeming with life. The colors alone are enough to hook me! The smells of fresh herbs and the sights of locally grown fruits and vegetables make me a happy camper!

This weekend we took our Make It a Great Day Bag to the Farmer’s Market! When we visit the Market, it’s not for a couple of apples. No, we need a haul of fresh fruits and veggies. While we do make a mid week stop to re-fill some items in our local grocery store. The majority of our meal time veg comes from the Farmer’s Market. We find better prices, fresher produce and we simply enjoy being part of the local community.
